Glimpses of Our Second Day in Kauai

On our second day in Kauai we drove west see the Waimea Canyon – it was amazing and I’ll post more on that later. We also went to Poipu Beach in the afternoon which will be in another post as well. For now I just wanted to share some photos of the other parts of our day. I hope you enjoy them! P.S. I took so many photos of this view from our lanai (balcony) trying to get the perfect wave photo, that I realized I could make a little animation out of them :).

Sunrise at Whaler’s Cove Resort in Kauai

After a day of visiting Oahu, we took an island hopper flight to Kauai. Because it is off-season and we had a last-minute booking, we were able to get a great deal for a week at an ocean front luxury condo at Whaler’s Cove Resort. Sunrise that first morning revealed the beautiful ocean and swaying palm trees, mountain views framed by abundant flowers and amazing tropical plants, and even sea turtles swimming out to the ocean from the cove. We knew we were in for a fantastic week!

Lovely Cape Cod Sunrise

I have been playing around with some more of our vacation photos. I’m beginning to realize that it is going to take many, many blog posts for me to get through them at this rate, lol!! But I am enjoying reliving all of these wonderful moments, so if you don’t mind, I will keep going :). Here are some photos from our first morning at Cape Cod, we took a sunrise walk down to the beach, and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves!
