Boston and the North Shore {More Road Trip Pics}

We took a trip into Boston and visited the Museum of Science – it was amazing! We all LOVED the lightning show… well, Julia did panic right before the grand finale, so I had to take her out. But Chris taped it for us :). After the museum, we went to the North Shore to visit my sister and her husband. Sarah gave us a tour of the gorgeous estate where she works as an event planner – I took lots of great photos, so I will have to post those later :)! Then we went out to dinner at a really great Mexican place – YUM! We had a lot of fun and Gabe really bonded with Jeff, as always :)!

Boston Children’s Museum

Thanks to Michael’s cool museum club membership, we were all able to visit the Boston Children’s Museum free of charge!

It was a great  place for the kids to play, especially since there was a whole area devoted to Curious George – our favorite monkey!

Gabe and Avery had so much fun together, and Gabe keeps telling me he wants to go back there!

There were even some fun things for Julia to explore :).

Thanks again, Michael, for the lovely day in Boston!

A Day in Boston

We spent our first full day of our recent trip to New England in one of my most favorite cities: Boston! Growing up, Boston was the closest large city, and it was even closer while I was in college on the North Shore. It had been a long time since I had visited Boston, so I was really excited to be there!

We tried a new way of getting into the city, which was very relaxing and fun – the ferry! It was Gabe’s first time on a boat – he had a great time :).

This is the our view of Boston as we approached it from the water – how beautiful!

We were headed to the Boston Children’s Museum. From the Ferry dock we had the option to take a cab to there or just walk. We chose to walk, of course! Boston is a wonderful city to walk in, with lots of trees and parks along the coastline.

We spent most of our day at the museum, so we only saw a tiny bit of the city, but it was still fun to get a little taste of this lovely spot on the coast of New England.

Coming up next – pics from the museum!
