It’s been quite a while since I’ve updated, so I’m here to catch you up a bit on our lovely lives :). Firstly, here are some more recent photos, since the kids change so fast at this age!

Gabe is now five, and Julia just turned two – I know, I can’t believe it either!
So what has happened in the past several months since I’ve updated the blog?
Spring 2011…
Brought beautiful flowers and lots of trips to botanical gardens, brought visits from relatives we enjoyed visiting with, and brought devastating tornadoes and storms which tore across our state and town, damaging our home, destroying others and shutting down Gabe’s school for the rest of the year. HOWEVER, shortly thereafter our community began to rebuild, we enjoyed a trip to the much recovered Gulf Shores AND we heard the good news about Sarah and Jeff’s engagement!
Summer 2011…
Brought Vacation Bible School for me and the kids, a road trip to New England for Sarah’s wedding, stops to see the Statue of Liberty, Washington D.C. and lots of relatives. Chris went the Marshall Islands for over a week with a stop-over in Hawaii – by far the most remote trip for him yet.
Fall 2011…
Brought kindergarten for Gabe, a trip to Copenhagen, Denmark for Chris, Jess and Gabe (Julia stayed with Grandma and Papa), many many day trips to local attractions and the good news of Rebekah and Wes’ engagement!
Whew! Can you see why I haven’t had much time for blogging? Luckily I HAVE been taking lots of photos and making scrapbooks. I hope to share more here as I have more free time while the kids are at school (Julia has “Mother’s Morning Out” on Tuesdays and Thursdays).
You can read more about what I have been up to creatively at ScrapbookIdeas.wordpress.com and at my new site JessGordonDesign.com.
Have a happy Halloween!

Jess, you sure have been busy! I am so glad that you and your family survived the tornadoes. Gabe looks like he is all boy and Julia looks the princess that I am sure she is!
Thanks Kathie! It’s so nice to hear from you :)!. We survived and are doing well! We finally have our roof fixed as of last week and now we just need the water damaged areas repaired and the house will be as good as new. I hope all is well with you too!
