Our Life in Daily Photos

Hello my friends! Sorry for the lack of blogging lately. I took a break during the holidays, then we had a few weeks of sickness and now I think things are finally getting back to normal around here :)! Even though I wasn’t blogging in January, I WAS taking lots of pictures – at least one each day (usually many more)! And I am happy to say that I have been making lots of digital scrapbook pages with all of my photos too :). Here’s a little sample of my pics, one for each day of January.

Hope your Valentine’s season is off to a great start :)!!!

Aw, you are so sweet Rita! sorry I haven’t been keeping the blog up-to-date, but when life gets the most full and exciting around here, the poor ol’ blog is the last thing to get updated! I’m off to send you an email :)….

Just stumbled upon your blog and love your January collage! I’d love to know how you did that! Is there somewhere on your blog with an explanation or tutorial?

Hi! I made a storyboard template in PhotoShop, then I added the photos and text to it to create this photo collage.

I don’t remember if I’ve made a tutorial for how to create and use storyboards, but I found some links for you! Here is a tutorial about making and using storyboards: http://www.clickinmoms.com/blog/?p=2509 and here is one about how to use storyboards (plus it looks like you can download some free ones too): http://www.gingerpixel.com/review/storyboard-templates/

TIPS: If you want to duplicate a shape in Photoshop, just select the Move Tool, then hold down the alt key while clicking and dragging. When moving the shapes around, hold down the shift key to keep them moving in a straight line (if you want them lined up). You can duplicate and move multiple shapes at the same time by highlighting multiple shape layers in the layers pallet – just hold down the ctrl key while selecting the layers you want. You can use the rulers, grid and guides to help get things lined up if you want too. You can also resize multiple shapes or single shapes while keeping their position and aspect ratio if you hold down the shift key while resizing. These tips take some practice, but make the process a LOT faster and easier :). Have fun!

Jess, I’m worried about you. Are you and your family okay? I’ve been praying for you; hope all is well. I miss hearing from you. I know your plate is full, but please just let me know you are okay. Thanks and God bless you.
