Our Sweet Girl’s First Birthday Party!

Today is Julia’s first birthday! We celebrated on Saturday with an “explosion of pink and purple” as Chris called it ;). As you can see, Miss Julia Rose LOVED her first cupcake :).

There were plenty of other yummy treats besides the rose-topped cupcakes. We also served heart-shaped sandwiches, pink lemonade and strawberries with pink fruit dip. I even found the PERFECT little mints for party favors, which looked like polka-dots and matched the party colors too!

Julia’s face totally lit up when we all sang “Happy Birthday” to her – so adorable! She looked really cute in the birthday hat, outfit and tutu I made for her :)!

Her tutu is so puffy that we had to bunch it up behind her so she could crawl :).

I had an absolute blast making all the froufrou party decorations! Hopefully I will get a chance to share some great links and tutorials for some of these fun projects in a future post.

I will leave you with a photo of one of the birthday gifts from my parents – could this BE any more perfect for the party? Pink, polka-dots, roses and even a tutu!!!

Are you or is someone in your family a professional photographer? Your pictures look incredible! I am a blogger who is just starting out in Gloucester and I was browsing Gloucester sites. Very nice photography!

  Hehe, thanks for the compliment, but no :). I do love photography and I am always trying to learn more and improve, though. Having a great camera and PhotoShop also helps a LOT! Thanks for visiting my blog :)!

Julia’s birthday party was the yummiest! I am so pleased to see her initial response to chocolate. I still can’t believe how perfect the piggy bank was with all of your fun decorations.

I’m not sure if you shared these or not, but I checked your site today and found the wonderful photos of Julia’s first birthday! She is so beautiful and I LOVE all the photos. The decorations you made rocked! You are one talented lady!

I also wanted to share with you that my Sunday School Class is doing the Stepping Up study by Beth Moore! I’m love it! I’m going to follow in your steps and make memory cards for Psalm 121 to share with my class.

  Yes it was, can’t you tell :)? Actually, though, it wasn’t very sweet – the lady who made the cupcakes is my parent’s neighbor, and she must have known they were for Julia’s first birthday :).
