Here are some tips from my favorite fall decorations from the past couple of years. The theme of fall decorating is harvest, so look to local farms, orchards or even the grocery store to find your supplies. Keep it simple, items that are found in nature are the best. But don’t stop with the typical pumpkins and mums – add something unexpected, like cranberries. I’ve used cranberries in a glass candle holder (seen below) to add color and interest to an otherwise dull centerpiece. Gourds and squash are great, because there are so many different varieties available. You can do anything with them, in the photo below I just put them in a wooden salad bowl. I even used a hollowed out Carnival squash to hold dip once. I’ll post the recipe soon, so stay tuned!
