Our Autumn tour of my little section of the Quiet Corner comes to a close as we reach the Woodstock Common, a historic town green that holds so many sweet memories for me. The memories began when Chris and I attended Woodstock Academy for our high-school education – this is where our friendship and love first began. Also connected to the green is the church we were married in (where we attend with my family when we are in town). Opposite the green is Roseland Cottage, another historic landmark where our wedding reception was held. Our wedding was also during the peak of the fall foliage. In these photos you can see us on the green with the Academy in the background, then standing in front of Roseland Cottage and the last two were taken at the church.

On our one year anniversary, we went back to the church we were married in to view the foliage and to recreate some of our wedding photos.

This concludes my series on my trips to New England for the fall foliage. As I have travelled down memory lane, I realized that my favorite fall drive along scenic route 169 is somewhat of a metaphor of my time in Connecticut: it starts at my childhood home, visits the sites of some of my best memories growing up, and ends where I got married!

Jess I loved this! By the way, everytime I get in the car I see this package I made up for you last MONTH. I am the worst, I know it- but I love you so much and I’m really having fun looking at all of these images of Connecticut and wishing I was there to enjoy them… I can’t wait to see you!
